At East Alabama Home Inspectors, we are proud members of FSIA. As a member of the Full Spectrum Inspectors Association, Our Primary focus is the health and safety of our clients, in residential and commercial settings. Having the certifications, designations, and licenses as well as the full time experience necessary to be a Senior Chief Full Spectrum Inspector demonstrates our dedication to holding client health and safety as paramount. We believe every structure that will be inhabited should have Indoor Air Quality assessed for airborne Mold, Mildew, and Fungus, Volatile Organic Compounds, and Carbon Dioxide, Radon, Asbestos( based on build date, performed by a Senior Chief Full Spectrum Inspector), and Lead Based Paint (based on build date, performed by a Senior Chief Full Spectrum Inspector). We also focus on systems of the home that have health and safety components like Water Quality, Wells, Sewer lines, & Septic Tanks. Chimneys, which also have significant health and safety concerns in the forms of potential for backdrafting products of combustion into the home and potential house fire hazards(+25,000/year in the USA) are also inspected by your Senior chief Full Spectrum Inspector. Accessibility, means of egress in case of fire, and safety issues are equally important to a Senior Chief Full Spectrum Inspector. We perform infrared scans of the home to detect other health and safety concerns potential electrical fire hazards, plumbing leaks, roof leaks, and flashing defects that have not shown through the sheet rock/plaster yet, these sources of moisture often have mold and microbial growth as well and can be a health and safety concern as well. We examine the readily visible portions of the ductwork for air/thermal leaks, and look for places where insulation may have been left out, or improperly installed and slid down. We inspect outbuildings, barns, and shops on the property as those can have health and safety concerns and be a source of fire hazard to your family’s home or the main structure. As a Senior Chief Full Spectrum Inspector(SCFSI) we also inspect docks, piers, boat houses, and sea walls with the primary focus again being, you guessed it health and safety. On commercial restaurant properties we inspect hoods, chimney smokers, walk-ins, and appliances focusing on health and safety concerns and functional use concerns and useful life. We perform all types of commercial properties up to 250,000 sq feet. Our lead inspector is a Senior Chief Full Spectrum Inspector (SCFSI), Certified Inspection Expert(CIE), Certified Master Inspector(CMI), has over 63 certifications, licenses, and designations in the inspection industry.
